3 minutes · BloggerAdd Holidoodle to Blogger
Paste one line once. From then on your Blogger site greets each visitor on their own country's holidays, in their language, with your logo.
Requirements: Free
1. Copy your line
Sign in to your Holidoodle dashboard to get your key, or use the line below and replace YOUR_KEY.
<script src="https://holidoodle.dev/embed.js" data-key="YOUR_KEY" async></script>
2. Paste it in Blogger
- Sign in to Blogger and choose your blog.
- Recommended: in Theme, click the arrow next to Customize → Backup → Download to save a copy of your theme.
- In the left menu click Theme. Under My theme click the arrow / More → Edit HTML.
- Press Ctrl+F, find </body> and paste the script tag on the line right before it.
- Click the Save (floppy disk) icon.
- Alternative: Layout → Add a Gadget → HTML/JavaScript, paste the tag into Content and click Save. This works on every page where that gadget area appears.
Where the code goes: right before </body> in Theme → Edit HTML.
Good to know
- Blogger's XML template editor may reject an attribute with no value. If saving fails with an error about async, write async='async'.
- Changing the theme later replaces the template, so add the tag again.
- Gadgets can be hidden on mobile templates. The Edit HTML method is more reliable.
3. Check it works
Open the blog in incognito, view the source and search for 'embed.js'.
To see a holiday right now, open your site with ?hd_country=TR&hd_date=2026-10-29 at the end of the address. Any country and date work.
