Add Holidoodle to Shopify

Paste one line once. From then on your Shopify site greets each visitor on their own country's holidays, in their language, with your logo.

1. Copy your line

Sign in to your Holidoodle dashboard to get your key, or use the line below and replace YOUR_KEY.

2. Paste it in Shopify

1. In Shopify admin go to Online Store → Themes.
2. Recommended: on your live theme click … → Duplicate to keep a backup copy.
3. On the live theme click the … (three-dot) button → Edit code.
4. In the left file list open Layout → theme.liquid.
5. Press Ctrl+F / Cmd+F and find </head> (or </body>).
6. Paste the script tag on the line right before it.
7. Click Save.

Where the code goes: right before </head> (or </body>) in layout/theme.liquid.

Good to know

• Do NOT use Settings → Customer events (custom pixels): pixels run in a sandbox that Shopify says can't render UI elements such as buttons, banners or modals, so the widget can't touch your storefront.
• Theme app embeds (Customize → App embeds) only show apps installed from the Shopify App Store; we don't have a Shopify app, so this option isn't available to you.
• Code added to theme.liquid lives in that one theme. If you switch themes or install an updated theme version, paste the tag again.
• Checkout pages can't run theme code, so the widget won't appear on checkout.
• Shopify Timeline restores a file one at a time and can't bring back deleted files. Keep the duplicate theme until you've confirmed it works.

3. Check it works

Open your storefront in an incognito window, right-click → View page source, search for 'embed.js'. Open DevTools → Network and filter by 'embed.js': it should return 200.

To see a holiday right now, open your site with ?hd_country=TR&hd_date=2026-10-29 at the end of the address. Any country and date work.
